This 1971 Camper has been meticulously rebuilt over the last two years by the third owner. The total mileage on the vehicle since restoration is approximately 200 miles. The 1835cc engine with a 2 barrel Weber carburater was rebuilt. OEM parts have been used throughout this project. The body was stripped to the bare metal and then carefully reassembled after applying 2 coats of a 2 stage polyurethane paint and clear coat to the interior and exterior. All rubber is new including the tires mounted on powder coated rims. All systems have been gone through and renewed. Parts were replaced as deemed necessary. This includes the suspension, brakes, fuel and electrical systems. There is a new clutch assembly. The interior has been reupholstered including new flooring. Original and VW Camper components renewed and reinstalled. The wood paneling is new European Birch with a polyurethane finish. All lamps and lenses have been replaced. In fact, there is hardly a spot on this vehicle that not been touched during the restoration.
